Jason Richmond is a producer, engineer and mixer who worked with the Vogler Institute and composers, musicians John Westmoreland, Daniel Chambo, and Will Ridenour to masterfully create the sonic landscape of the institute and produce the founder, Amelia Vogler, on her Guided Therapeutic Journey's and Affirmations. Jason is a world-class producer whose recent projects have seen him engineer several albums for Grammy-nominated Jazz vocalist Kate McGarry. His ear is impeccable and matched only by his skill and creativity in production. Jason Richmond is a producer, engineer and mixer who has worked with such artists as The Avett Brothers, Joe Henry, Branford Marsalis, The Steep Canyon Rangers, Dom Flemons, The Bad Plus, Shirley Caesar and The Foreign Exchange. After years spent working as a musician, Jason was inspired to turn to music production and took a position as engineer at the Banff Centre in Alberta, where he worked with jazz artists Dave Douglas, Clarence Penn, Hank Roberts and Ben Monder. He left Banff for a position as Chief Recording Engineer at Sound Pure Studios in Durham, North Carolina where he refined his skills working with a host of local, national, and international musicians. Although accustomed to working with a wide range of artists, Jason is particularly versed at working with the sounds of Jazz, Americana, and World Music.
